A shocking and dramatic event has seen three men brutally shot as they were listening to music and streaming it online while inside their car.
Three men have been shot by an unknown gunman while the trio were smoking and listening to music inside a car. The shooting was streamed live on Facebook.
According to Dailymail, the men, aged 27 and 29, were taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia, suffering from gunshot wounds, police said. Two of the men have life-threatening injuries.
Officers responded to the 900 block of Bainbridge Boulevard in Norfolk at around 6.10pm after reports of gunshots fired in the area. The victims were found inside the vehicle, all suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, and taken to hospital.
TJ Williams posted a video on Facebook that showed him and two others smoking inside a car. Dante Rashad Williams was identified by friends as the man sitting in the driver’s seat.
Five minutes into his live stream, a series of shots are heard and his cell phone falls to the ground but continues recording for more than an hour.
He says: ‘Look at me, stay with me now. Don’t go to sleep.’
The man is heard comforting the victims, saying: ‘Give me your hand. I got you. Stay with me. It’s going to be alright.
‘They’re coming. They’re coming to get you. Keep your eyes open. Keep listening to my voice. It’s going to be alright.’
Around 10 minutes later, emergency responders are heard arriving. The video continues to stream on Facebook for an hour and 10 minutes until the battery appears to die.
‘We are aware of the possible incident being recorded live to a Facebook page,’ police spokesman Daniel Hudson told Buzzfeed News.
‘Norfolk detectives are looking into it.’
Police have not released a description of the gunman, but are appealing to the public for help.
