As legendary late westcoast rapper, Armaru Tupac Shakur aka 2Pac celebrates his 45th posthumous birthday today, Thursday, June 16 in the grave, the trailer for the Deathrow Records artiste’s forthcoming biopic “All Eyez On Me” has been released online and already gone viral.
According to Rolling Stone magazine, the upcoming 2Pac’s biopic, traces the cold reality of the fallen hip-hop forebear, and his rise from poverty to the highest echelon of fame. The film will be released on November 11th 2016, just a couple months after the 20-year anniversary of the icon’s assassination on the corner of East Flamingo and Koval in Las Vegas.
The movie director, Benny Boom told Billboard that the film would tackle the rap legend’s life as well as his encounters with racism and role in the highly publicized East Coast/West Coast beef with Notorious B.I.G. “[Racism] is a vicious cycle, and Tupac was a victim of that; he witnessed police brutality. It’s not just a biopic about a musician: It’s about a revolutionary. It’s the story of a martyr, someone who died for his cause,” he said.
With unknown actor, Demetrius Shipp Jr. portraying the late 2Pac, the film also shows impersonations of the scene’s big names – Kat Graham plays Jada Pinkett, Stefon Washington takes on Puff Daddy, Dominic L. Santana steps in as Suge Knight, and Jamal Woolard as Biggie.
