At her unveiling as an ambassador for Africa Fashion Week Nigeria which will be marking its 3rd year in the Nigerian fashion scene in July, Yemi Alade has spoken out about her favourites.
Multi-award winning singer, Yemi Alade, who was recently appointed the brand ambassador for Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) and Africa Fashion Week Nigeria (AFWN), has spoken with Sunday Sun about her ‘favourites’ at her unveiling in the Ikoyi area of Lagos.
Below are excerpts from the chat:
What’s your favourite colour?
I’m currently in love with a montage. It’s like yellow but not yellow. It’s like one thing they put inside hot dog that looks like yellow. Like burnt yellow a little. It’s nice on my skin.
Edikang Ikong and wheat.
Favourite holiday spot?
I haven’t gone there yet, but at the moment, I would say Mombasa in Nairobi, Kenya.
Not too cold not too hot. Should be somewhere in the middle. Tepid.
Anywhere there is food, water and good music.
I don’t have a favourite sports anymore. I used to love basketball.
It has to be the bible, anytime, any day.
“Anything worth doing at all is worth doing well.”
Favourite fashion accessory?
My sunshades. Sunshades. I don’t go anywhere without them.
I’m in love with Michael Costello, a foreign designer but in Nigeria, I like Iconic In Vanity.
